Organization Profile

The Institute for Wireless LAN Professionals (iWLANpro) is an international association formed in 2002 to serve WLAN manufacturers, service providers and other vendors and the professionals who use their products and services. The association’s more notable services include their popular Technical Resource DVDs, Hands-on Technology Labs, newsletters, industry reports and directories.

The Institute has produced similar services for the general computer networking industry for more than 8 years, delivering significant services since 1994. We deliver technical road shows, hands-on labs, technical resource CD/DVDs, newsletters, industry reports and directories to more than 250,000 professionals annually. Services specific to the wireless LAN segment of the industry began August 2002.

iWLANpro Mission:
To bring wireless LAN manufacturers, service providers and other vendors together with Wireless LAN Professionals for the mutual benefit of all. We endeavor to build and strengthen the wireless LAN industry by providing:

• extensive industry directories, which help generate customer leads for vendors and service connections for wireless LAN professionals
• demographics for the wireless LAN industry
• practical technical Information for wireless LAN communities, including integrators, manufacturers, distributors, trainers, publishers, associations/trade organizations, WISPs and technical wireless LAN professionals
• promotional email services and technical resources that lower support and sales costs to suppliers
• an independent industry voice and place for common neutral affiliation

Membership in iWLANpro:
Membership in iWLANpro as an Affiliate is open to all companies who support the WLAN Industry. Annual affiliate dues are $1,000. Affiliate companies include, but are not limited to:

• Manufacturers
• Integrators
• Distributors
• Trainers/Education Centers
• Design Engineers
• Publishers
• Associations
• WISPs

There is no membership or dues for Wireless LAN Professionals per se. Each iWLANpro benefit is registered for by the individual WLAN Professional.
